# Account Setup

1. **Connect Your Wallet:**

   * Click the **“Connect Wallet”** button on the homepage.
   * Select your preferred Solana wallet (e.g., Phantom).
   * Approve the connection request in your wallet extension or app.

2. **Sign Authentication Message:**

   * After connecting, you’ll be asked to sign a message.
   * This verifies wallet ownership and grants access to your Market Whale workspace.
   * **Note:** Signing this message does *not* trigger any blockchain transaction or fees. It is purely an authentication step.

3. **Initial Wallets:**
   * Once authenticated, the platform automatically generates an empty Solana wallet within your workspace.
   * This wallet can be used for interacting with supported Solana protocols (e.g., performing swaps, viewing PnL, managing funds).
   * To begin using it, simply transfer **SOL** to the newly generated wallet.

{% hint style="success" %}
You can withdraw funds at any time from the **Wallets** tab.\
Market Whale does not charge withdrawal fees, and your funds remain fully under your control at all times.
{% endhint %}

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.mwh.app/overview/getting-started/account-setup.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
